Who are we?

The Diplomatic Club of Geneva is the expression of International Geneva. Its aim is to bring together its members so as to encourage relations between the different governmental, academic and private stakeholders in International Geneva. It has no religious or political character.

Founded in 1976 on the initiative of young diplomats, the Diplomatic Club of Geneva has become an association under private law under the patronage of the Federal and Geneva authorities as well as the Office of the United Nations in Geneva. It is recognized as the "official club of International Geneva" and has operated since 2008 under the aegis of the Fondation pour Genève.
Today the Club, chaired by former Ambassador Raymond Loretan, has an assembly of over 800 members, composed of ambassadors, consuls general, heads of international and non governmental organizations and multinational companies, scientists, politicians and Geneva personalities.

The Diplomatic Club of Geneva is proud to have joined the International Gender Champion (IGC) in January 2020. IGC is a leadership network that brings together female and mal decision-makers determined to break down gender barriers and make gender equality a working reality in spheres of influences.
