Panel Discussion with Brad Smith, President of Microsoft

"Digital Cooperation: Can Geneva Make It a Win-Win?"

On 10 June 2019, the High-level Panel on Digital Cooperation, appointed by the UN Secretary-General, issued its report, “The Age of Digital Interdependence”. The report lays out a series of recommendations to the private sector, civil society, national governments and international organizations to ensure that the benefits delivered by digital technologies to our societies and to each individual outweigh the challenges those technologies raise. Mr. Brad Smith, President of Microsoft, will discuss some key aspects of the report, as well as the role that Geneva and its surrounding region can play in building an inclusive and trustworthy digital world.
