Visit of the CEVA construction site

Presentation and guided tour of the CEVA, an innovative mobility project in Geneva

CEVA: a link between two shores, two cantons and two countries

With a total length of 16 kilometres, including 14 kilometres in Swiss territory, the CEVA railway line connects Cornavin to Annemasse, while servicing Geneva's main business centres. This major project responds to the challenges of international development and growth facing the canton and International Geneva. By connecting the two sides of the canton and by also connecting existing networks, it facilitates the movement of people and enhances the economic attractiveness of the entire region. Thanks to the Léman Express, and connections with other means of public transport, CEVA offers a real alternative to driving. It provides a practical and ecological answer to the problems of urban travel and thus significantly improves the quality of life of its future users and all of the inhabitants within the Geneva basin.

Welcome speeches by:

Mr. Antoine Da Trindade, Project Director of CEVA

Mr. Alain Barbey, Head of Regional Services and Regional Coordinator of SBB CFF FFS

Mr. Raymond Loretan, President of the Diplomatic Club of Geneva
